How Much Does Parking and Valet Management Software Cost in Qatar?
By Hocine Belgacem, CEO of Heronys · 27 September 2026
There is no single price for parking or valet management software in Qatar, because providers sell four very different things under the same name. The fastest way to a fair number is to know which model you are being quoted, what drives it, and which costs are usually left off the first page.
What are the pricing models?
Hardware project. A systems integrator supplies and installs barriers, ticket machines, pay stations, cameras and guidance signs, with management software included or licensed separately. You pay mostly up front, then an annual maintenance contract.
Per-facility software licence. You license a platform for each site, sized by what it has to run — bays, gates, valet positions — and keep using the hardware you own where it is compatible. This is how Heronys is licensed.
Per-ticket or per-transaction fees. You pay a small amount for every vehicle or payment. Cheap to start, but the bill grows with your traffic.
Managed operation. A parking or valet operator runs the site with its own staff and systems for a monthly or revenue-share fee. Software is part of the service rather than something you buy.
What drives the price?
The size of the operation: number of bays and floors, number of entry and exit lanes, and number of valet podiums or positions.
How much hardware can be reused: existing barrier controllers and cameras that the new system can work with save the most money.
Integrations: payment gateways, building access control, hotel systems or government portals each add work.
Number of sites: a group running several properties from one dashboard usually pays less per site than a single facility.
Which costs are often missing from the first quote?
Civil works and cabling for new lanes, poles and cameras.
Messaging costs if guests receive SMS for valet check-in or retrieval.
Training for new staff, and for the next shift of new staff.
Changes after go-live — a new floor, a new gate, a new tariff — and whether they are billed as change requests.
Support outside office hours, and on-site response times.
How do you get an accurate quote?
Send every provider the same brief: floor plans, number of bays, gates and valet positions, peak-hour volume, and the make and model of the barriers and cameras you already have. Ask for a site survey, a written price for a full year at your real volume, and a list of what is not included. Then compare like with like.
What does Heronys cost?
Heronys is licensed per facility, starting from QAR 3,500, with no per-ticket fees. The final price depends on bays, gates and valet positions and is quoted after a site survey — typically within days. It works with standard barrier controllers and compatible existing cameras, so many sites avoid replacing hardware.
What is the cheapest way to add parking management to an existing car park?
Usually a software platform that works with the barriers and cameras you already have, licensed per facility. Replacing working hardware is the biggest cost most sites can avoid.
Are per-ticket fees a bad deal?
Not always — they can suit a small or seasonal site. But they grow with every car, so a busy mall, hotel or office usually pays more over a year than with a flat per-facility licence. Model both at your real traffic.
